Cryptonews.net Exclusively: The Economist Places Crypto Logos On Its Cover. What Does It Mean?
According to a press release of Nov. 9, The Economist is set to release its annual “The World Ahead 2022” magazine. Its cover features “Easter eggs” in the form of logos of some cryptocurrencies. The full version of the issue will be released on November 18, and will also be available on the Economist.com website.
For those who are involved in the field of economics, finance and investment, The Economist magazine is a kind of “handbook”. Readers are especially waiting for the annual forecast for the next year – the magazine has released this kind of issue since 2017. Every year the cover of the magazine is drawn in a new concept, which acts as a kind of general prediction of what will be relevant in the coming year.
After the announcement of the cover of The World Ahead 2022, many readers took notice of the cryptocurrency logos, which were almost imperceptibly located in different areas of the collage. Four coins from the TOP-20 found their places on the cover of the magazine, which are Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Cardano (ADA) and Litecoin (LTC). According to a press release, The Economist has presented crypto as one of the ten hottest topics for the coming year. The magazine notes that amid the growth of cryptocurrencies, regulators are trying to take control of the industry:
“The result is a three-way fight for the future of finance — between the crypto-blockchain-DeFi crowd, more traditional technology firms and central banks—that will intensify in 2022.”
Many crypto influencers and investors see a positive sign in the inclusion of cryptocurrencies in The Economist’s 2022 forecasts. Earlier, the appearance of many objects on the covers of annual almanacs actually found its way in the events of the following year.
